IAF Congress in Japan
Dear Friends,
do some of you guys have the possibility to make a brief reportage of the
IAF Congress, held in Fukuoka last week?
I would put it online on Technologies of the Frontier, the next number is
going to be issued in next weeks.
If it can help, here are some questions:
- how was the attendance, more people or less than 2004?
- was the congress a mediatic event in Japan? or was it known only by the
space community?
- where all the space agencies present?
- aerospace big industry, was it present?
- was the borning "new space economy" present at the congress? I mean the
companies who participated to X-Prize
- was China and India present? did they play a key role?
- did NASA give info and more details about the Moon plan?
- what were the main topics of the congress?
- was the space program connected with the global economy problems?
- was present any awareness of the relevance of a good industrial
astronautic program, in the current world situation?
Of course you guys will be welcome giving any information, or your feeling
of the congress, as you like more, not necessarily replying to my questions!
Thank you very much
Adriano Autino
