It is aimed at kids after all.  The screen saver is pretty funny too.

No it is as bad as it sounds.  But you probably should see at least one
episode to make your own evaluation.  They did get unprecidented access
to locations and local technical expertise.  Afterall it is one long
free advertisement for NASA.  The "Right Stuff" a few decades too late.
