The Space
Show for Tuesday, July 29, 2003 features Greg Allison. Mr. Allison serves as the Program Manager for the
Huntsville Alabama L5 Society (HAL5) High Altitude Lift-Off (HALO) Program, and
as President of the High Altitude Research Corporation (HARC). In these
capacities, Mr. Allison is actively developing cheap access to space
technologies. Mr. Allison has worked on the International Space Station
Program for Grumman as a systems engineer specializing in robotics, for the
Mevatec Corporation as an electrical power systems integration engineer, and for
Teledyne Brown Engineering as a payload integration engineer for external space
station experiments. Mr. Allison has worked on the M1A2 Abrams tank, the
F-15, UH-60 Black-hawk Helicopter and commercial parts washing machines.
Mr. Allison also studies means to defend Earth from Comets and Asteroids and the
construction of large scale space stations. Currently Mr. Allison is the
Chairman of the Executive Committee of the National Space Society. Greg
Allison has been honored with the National Space Society's Space Pioneer Award
for Entrepreneurship for Project HALO in 1997. The 1997 Launch of HALO
Sky-Launch - 1 (SL-1) hybrid rocket from high altitude balloon over the Atlantic
to 36 nautical miles is listed in the Guinness Book 2000 as the highest flight
of an amateur rocket.

presentation about the Fund at this year's Mars Society Conference in August in
