IMAO : There is no way that John Glenn is scientifically the
best candidate for this purpose. The ex-Skylab people spent far more
time in space being monitored, and are presumably at least in their
early 60s by now. I think it is naive for you or anyone to deny that
politics is threatening scientific considerations here. Moreover,
Glenn has had his trip courtesy of (US!) tax-payers - it is
_everyone's_ turn to go into space now.
