Space Future has been on something of a hiatus of late. With the concept of Space Tourism steadily increasing in acceptance, and the advances of commercial space, much of our purpose could be said to be achieved. But this industry is still nascent, and there's much to do. So...watch this space.

There are hundreds of operational satellites in orbit above us…as well as thousands of decommissioned satellites and their detritus, known as space junk. To date, 19,000 of these not-so-heavenly bodies are currently being tracked, but it is estimated that over 600,000 pieces over 1-centimeter wide exist.

Sean O'Keefe, former head of NASA, may have been a passenger on a DeHavilland DHC-30 aircraft that crashed in a mountainous area in the Alaska wilderness Monday night as reported by CNN.

And now he’s Dancing with the Stars
Buzz Aldrin, second man on the moon and member of the Gemini 12 and Apollo 11 missions, will appear on the popular reality show “Dancing with the Stars,” where contestants are challenged to perform different dances each week, like paso doble and swing. The 80-year-old retired astronaut will be the show’s oldest contestant.
