Sam Coniglio, contributing editor of the Space Future Journal (and the vice president of the Space Tourism Society), told the Journal that the Falcon 1 mission failed.

MSNBC reports that the SpaceX launch of the Falcon 1 rocket scheduled for March 19, 2007, was scrubbed 62 seconds before launch. The article cited a telemetry problem, occurring perhaps when data transmission was switched from land line to radio.

The time it took to correct the problem resulted in significant LOX boiloff and loss of helium, and it was the latter that caused the launch abort."

On Saturday, February 1, 2003, the Space Shuttle Columbia exploded over Texas. Columbia, on its twenty-eighth mission, was on its descent after a sixteen-day journey as it broke up. There were no survivors.
