The Space Renaissance International (SRI) has held their inaugural congress live on Skype and included over 100 space development advocates from around the world.

The TED Conference lecture series includes anecdotes and stories from the movers and shakers of the world, such as Richard Branson and Benoit Mandelbrot, as well as other people with tales to tell. TED stands for Technology, Entertainment, and Design, but TED has come to mean “ideas worth spreading.”

Attending any of the several space conferences is like standing atop an apex of time. Face this way, and you can look back at where we were, and what has happened since the last time we looked. Take a quarter turn, see and hear where we are now and the people making news. Take another quarter turn, and you are facing the future—what is yet to be done, who is going to do it, and how.

On August 17, 18, and 19, 2008 the New Mexico Museum of Space History at Alamagordo, New Mexico, along with its partners the , the Space Frontier Foundation, and Spaceport America, will host the DC-X/XA Reunion and 21st Century Space Access Seminar and Workshop.

The Space Frontier Foundation is sponsoring a conference entitled NewSpace 2008: Creating the Future or Living in the Past.

The International Astronautical Academy (IAA), the research arm of the International Astronautical Federation ( IAF), is holding its first conference on private human space flight from May 28-30, 2008, in Arcachon, Bordeaux, France.

The 3rd annual Space Medicine Conference will be taking place on 30 September and 1 October 2006 in the UK National Space Centre in Leicester. Topics will include the medical implications of space tourism and surgical care in space.
