Australian Commercial Space Activities Bill Passed by Senate
Good news! It seems that the Australians are not only matching the
U.S.'s Commercial Space Bill but exceeding it in welcoming commercial
space business. Maybe we can start a new space race to encourage
commercial space business.

My friend in the Australian government, Michael Hettinger proudly
forwarded this news to me. Michael is the principal force behind this
landmark legislation bringing Australia to the forefront of commercial
space.

Monday 30 Novovember the Space Activities Bill 1998 (SAB) passed the Australian Senate.

The SAB itself (both in Acrobat and Word) is available in the list of
Bills at: [http://www.aph.gov.au/parlinfo/billsnet/bills.htm]

An Explanatory Memorandum for the SAB is available in the list of Bill
notes at: [http://www.aph.gov.au/parlinfo/billsnet/em.htm]
