Abstract:The present project, which is a thesis for the Faculty of Architecture at the University of Florence, is an orbiting space hotel fitted to the TransHab module. The origin of the idea is the desire to offer a space habitat capable of hosting vacation and amusement activities in zero-g gravity conditions. Today, many people dream of having an experience in orbit and the success of extreme tourism demonstrates that some would be ready to meet the high costs of initial voyages to space. Obviously, these costs would be greatly reduced in the future as the sector develops, through government and private sector investment (beginning in areas such as, communications, energy sources, safety, industry, research, waste management, and moving to high-speed travel, space tourism, habitation, etc).
